The D.I.R.T. (Deeply Invested in Reaching the Third-World) Project

Location:

Oahu, Hawaii

Summary:

The Dirt Project started off as a vision on March 25, 2018 and within only four short weeks it became a reality officially launching on April 22, Earth Day. The mission for The Dirt Project is to raise funds for those living in Third-World countries in order to provide them with water wells and water irrigation systems. This will give them clean water and the ability to grow their own food and work their own land in order to become a more self-sustaining community. We will raise funds by selling shirts and using the profits to build Dirt Projects.

I asked by the creator of the D.I.R.T. Project, Josh Salvaterra, to develop a responsive user-friendly website to help users visualize and understand the mission of the project. It was crucial that the project needed to be deployed in a week's time, therefore communication was key to accomplishing the task. I helped Josh by developing his vision of the D.I.R.T. Project website by using Bootstrap 4, HTML5, and CSS. It was a great experience to be a part of an organization that recognize the needs of developing countries.
